Louis Alloro, MAPP, MEd
MODULE 1 INSTRUCTOR
Louis Alloro is a change-agent working with individuals and systems to enable positive evolution. He is one of the first one hundred people in the world to earn a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow at George Mason University's Center for Consciousness and Transformation and owns a NYC-based consultancy, which partners in the SOMO Leadership Movement, a city-wide intervention in Cleveland, Ohio.
Beatrice "Bebe" W. Cooper, MSSW, ACC
MODULE 3 INSTRUCTOR
Bebe Cooper integrates her extensive family business experience with her psychotherapy background to coach leaders, teams, and organizations in building leadership skills and capacities. She is a leadership coach and consultant. Bebe enjoys working one-on-one with leaders to facilitate high performance while increasing satisfaction. She comes from a systems perspective and is skilled in highlighting barriers to change while building on strengths. Bebe teaches ICF-approved coaching training with Doug Silsbee, PCC, originator of Presence-Based Coaching. She offers Mentor Coaching services at the ACC level. Bebe holds a bachelor's degree in business, a master's in social work, is a Certified Somatic Coach through the Strozzi Institute, and is an authorized Enneagram teacher through the Enneagram Institute. Bebe has yoga and meditation practices, likes to whip up tasty meals with friends and family on weekends, and occassionally can be found sailing on the Potomac.
Ellen Fulton, MSEd, PCC
COHORT CO-DIRECTOR AND MODULE 2 INSTRUCTOR
Ellen is co-founder of the Washington Coaching Group and has helped many of her clients "take it to the next level," assisting them in tapping into their strengths, passions, and full potential. Her 20 years of experience in teaching, management, training and development, and leadership coaching fuel her desire to act as a catalyst for growth. She is passionate about generative well-being and mindfulness. Ellen enjoys exploring the mind-body connection and how it relates to leadership presence. Educated as a coach at Georgetown University, Ellen's work leads her into a variety of industries, including the federal government, corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and universities. At George Mason University, she has the pleasure of serving on the team and providing coaching to the executive participants of the George Mason Institute for Leadership Excellence. One personally fulfilling project she developed was a coaching program for the participants of an inner city, non-profit organization that provides skilled job preparation and placement services to ex-offenders, welfare recipients, immigrants, and the homeless. Ellen is a life-long learner.
Stacey Guenther, MSODKM
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Stacey Guenther is director of educational programs at George Mason University's Center for Consciousness and Transformation. With an academic background in organization development, Stacey brings passion for healthy, high-functioning organizations and the people within to the work she does. She completed her coach training through George Mason's Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance, an ACTP. She works with undergraduate students through CCT's Mindful Living LLC (living and learning community) and teaches courses in the consciousness and transformation minor program.
W. Cliff Kayser, MSOD
MODULE 6 INSTRUCTOR
Cliff is president and founder of Xperience® LLC (www.XperienceIT.com) located in Washington, D.C., a boutique organization development consulting, coaching, and leadership training firm serving the non-profit, public, and private sectors. Also under Xperience® LLC is Kayser Ridge Retreat and Learning Center located in Berkeley Springs, WV (www.KayserRidge.com). Cliff is also an associate of Polarity Management Associates, and certified at the mastery-level. Cliff is adjunct faculty for the AU/NTL master's Program and a visiting faculty of The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. Prior to Xperience® LLC, Cliff was vice president of organizational development and training for The National Cooperative Bank (NCB), and spent nearly a decade serving The Washington Post newspaper as senior organization development consultant and The Washington Post Company as corporate manager of human resources. Cliff graduated from Georgetown University's Executive Leadership Coaching program in 2007. He holds master's degrees in both organizational development and human resource management from The American University. In 2010 Cliff was published in The Love, with thought leaders and Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners, including Andrew Cohen, Maya Angelou, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Mary Elizabeth Lynch, MS, JD
MODULE 2 INSTRUCTOR
Mary Elizabeth is an educator, conflict transformation specialist, and an attorney/mediator. She holds a master's degree in philosophy and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. For 15 years, she practiced law and mediated legal disputes in the areas of employment and family law. In 2001, Mary Elizabeth co-founded and now serves as president of the Personal Transformation and Courage Institute. This non-profit educational organization specializes in helping individuals and groups build capacity to overcome attitudinal and emotional blocks to greater health, creativity, and the expression of one's gifts and talents. Mary Elizabeth developed and now runs a year- long, cohort-based training program for people seeking personal and professional development. She is also an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate students the principles of personal transformation and conflict resolution. Mary Elizabeth is a life-long practitioner of meditation. She believes that mindfulness practices are the foundation for personal and professional well-being and transformation.
Pam Patterson, MA, ACC
COHORT CO-DIRECTOR AND MODULE 1 INSTRUCTOR
Pam Patterson is an executive leadership coach certified through the International Coaching Federation. She is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Executive Leadership Coaching Program and has 20+ years of combined experience in leadership and university administration. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University. Pam is currently completing her doctorate degree at George Mason University with her research focus on the influence of somatic practices on leader’s perceived well-being. Pam’s interest and passion focus on exploring the fields of positive psychology, strengths development and generative well-being, while drawing on various tools and methodologies in her coaching practice including somatic awareness, embodied learning, and leader development. At George Mason, she was a member of a team that created and implemented a leader development curriculum for executive education and a separate program for faculty and staff. Pam serves as a co-chair for MasonLeads, a campus-wide leadership steering committee and was the co-chair for last year’s sold-out conference entitled Leading to Well-Being. Pam is also the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students for the University Life division at George Mason University.
Doug Silsbee, PCC
MODULE 3 INSTRUCTOR
Doug Silsbee, PCC, is a thought leader in the fields of Presence-Based Coaching, leadership development and resilience. A master teacher, Doug has worked with leaders on five continents. He coaches, teaches, and writes from Asheville, NC. The author of two important books (The Mindful Coach and Presence-Based Coaching,) Doug is a Master Somatic Coach with Strozzi Institute, and a sought after presenter at ICF conferences. He has been an experiential designer, consultant, and facilitator for over thirty years. Doug has taught at the Brookings Institution, UCLA Executive Education and the Federal Executive Institute. He has presented for half a dozen ICF chapters in virtual and live workshops, as well as in special sessions for Hudson Institute, CTI, and coaching certification programs at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. He is a frequent presenter for the International Association of Facilitators and OD Network. Doug is an adventurer, grandfather, and owner of a carbon-neutral retreat center. He trains coaches through his ICF-approved program integrating mindfulness, somatics, neuroscience, and integral psychology into a robust model of human development.
Angelique Skoulas, DDS, MPA, ACC
MODULE 5 INSTRUCTOR
Angelique Skoulas is a facilitator and executive coach specializing in conflict management, and communication. For over 15 years she has worked with leaders in the corporate, non-profit and governmental sectors to improve strategies and develop capacity. Her clients have included The Department of Defense, Johnson and Johnson, The United States Congress, The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Partners HealthCare and The Institute for Diversity in Civic Leadership. Angelique currently runs a leadership course for top scientists at the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She is also the co-director of the Graduate Leadership Studies program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where her research includes studying the impact that courses on effective communication and conflict management have on the career development. Angelique holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry; a Master's in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is a graduate of the Leadership Coaching Program at Georgetown University; and is a credentialed executive coach through the International Coach Federation. She is a former Congressional Fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Chris Wahl, MA, MCC
MODULE 4 INSTRUCTOR
Chris Wahl is a Master Certified Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology and French from the University of Tennessee and a master's in counseling from George Washington University. Chris has spent the last 11 years launching, directing, and advising the Leadership Coaching Certificate Program at Georgetown University. She has an active coaching practice focused on helping leaders reach, promote, and sustain well-being while achieving results in the midst of critical challenges, change, and organizational mandates. Working deeply with stages of development and the implications of stage on leadership development for the past six years, Chris is keenly aware of the challenges of transition, especially when moving towards those stages where a leader's awareness can be transformational for organizations. This past year, Chris developed and presented a widely-received presentation entitled, "Gutsy Transitions: Courage and Spark as Ground for Well-Being" for last year's sold-out Leading to Well-Being conference at George Mason University. In addition, Chris co-authored a book, Be Your Own Coach; has published articles in coaching magazines; and is featured in the book, Coaching with Spirit.
